Saltpans of Trapani and Marsala

Another characteristic place in the immediate vicinity of Trapani are the “Salt Marshes” where the ancient practice of salt extraction is still carried out, and represent a strong link between the past and the present of these lands. How not to mention the picturesque windmills that from ancient production sites have turned into a source of attraction for tourists. The salt pans extend up to the town of Marsala, where you can admire the Stagnone, the island of Mozia or maybe stroll through its streets rich in history.
