The city of Segesta

Here is another trace of the presence of Greek civilization in the Trapani area: Segesta. The ancient city is located on Mount Barbaro, in the municipality of Calatafimi Segesta, 15 kilometers from Alcamo. In the archaeological site you will find the great Doric Temple, the Agora, and the magnificent Greek Theater, but you can also see the city walls, the medieval quarter, the castle and the mosque that date back to the medieval period.
